Technology Education
Welcome to the Loyola Catholic Schools Technology Education WEB Page. As many of you already know the program has been been started up again to give students of LCS electives to choose from to help broaden their experiences. Although the program is in the beginning stages of development we are well on our way to having a number of great learning experiences for the students at LCS. Curriculum has been developed to give students basic measuring skills and hands on activities to further enhance and reenforce the fractional math necessary to measure and cut material to fit into complex projects with many integral parts and pieces. Basic drafting concepts are taught to help students learn how to plan and design objects and relate to and read plans of others. Projects have been developed to engage students in the use of power as well as hand tools and learn safe operating procedures on a variety of tools. As we progress students will gain experiences with welding, mechanics, electrical, and basic household maintenance. The skills developed along the way will provide the students with the ability to solve problems in a wide variety of situations. Courses are currently being offered to 7th and 8th grade as well as juniors and seniors. for more information contact brblaisdell@macs mn .com or at 388-9344
