I feel blessed to teach in the same school system in which I was educated. My college education was here in Mankato at MSU, which I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, and minor in Kindergarten and Early Childhood. I continue to further my education by attending classes and workshops to keep up-to-date in teaching ideas and techniques.

My teaching experience in the classroom has consisted of teaching PreSchool, Kindergarten, and 1st-6th grades. I have been teaching at Loyola for the past eleven years. I began part time as the Reading Specialist for grades 1-3, then added 4&5. This is my second year teaching 5th grade full time here at Loyola. I teach the reading and spelling to the entire 5th grade.  I love teaching and guiding students to reach their full potential.

I live in Eagle Lake with my husband Gary, and son Bryan who is presently a sophomore at Loyola. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, reading, biking, gardening, and cross country skiing. I also enjoy watching my son participating in sports. Go Crusaders!

Here at Loyola the Houghton Mifflin Literacy Reading series is used for reading and spelling.
